Tropicália is a political and musical movement that sprouted as a reaction to Brazil’s darkest days: a brutal period of military repression and censorship. The movement was bold and vibrant, embracing the ‘weirdness’ found in modern art that shocked traditionalists and confronted authoritarian ideals.

My biggest challenge here was to create a visual summary of a dense, delicate, and controversial topic that affects me deeply. Before I even started writing this, I told myself I'd have to approach this idea through a creative and insightful lens, built to be engaging by design, and most importantly, representing the cultural elements of the movement.
There's only one way to go, and it is forward.
